Just got my 2010 prius yesterday and I'm very happy I've been researching and saving for my 2010 since back when it was supposed to be the 2009. I saved for 2 years, had to take a used car when i found out my credit was non existant, now my credit after a year is great and I was able to trade in my used car for a 2010. Three long years i've been working toward this car and now i have it! Makes getting it that much sweeter. Blue Ribbon Metallic, Model III with JBL stereo upgrade %100 sheer awesomeness.
Congrats! Time to upgrade your "other non-hybrid" profile! I also waited 3 years to buy; kept hitting the gas price spikes that made buying hard.
Congrats!! I too am waiting (and saving) for my first Prius. My goal is to pay cash for my car purchases, so I'm being financially responsible and utilizing my current car as long as it makes fiscal sense to do so. But I drooool over the Prius and am right here in spirit. My day will come eventually.
Congrats - you will LOVE it! I just got my 2010 Prius yesterday, too! We leasd this one, and we own outright a 2008, which now goes to my daughter (isn't she the lucky one!). We got a III with the Navigation - was not about to 'step down' for my second Prius! We are now a 2 Prius family!! :rockon:
You remind me of me (minus the poor credit). I always lease and at the start of my last lease I almost got a Prius but then at the last minute talked myself into a Murano...I spent three years (and the height of the last gas spike) kicking myself. I couldn't have been happier about satisfying my car craving and would do it again...The Murano was fine but nothing I was passionate about. I am passionate about the Prius both in ownership and in experience.
You earned it. Enjoy it! There aren't many maintenance items for this car. You may find yourself modding more than maintaining it. Well, don't fall for it like I did. =D
Enjoy I dreamt about the car for a few years before being able to make the purchase. Turned out not bad as the Gen 3 came out just in time.
