I would like to lease a Prius 4 with navigation, silver, misty grey leather interior. The one dealer told me the lease would be 308 down and 308 per month for the last 35 months of the the lease including tax. Is this a good deal? If not what should I ask for them to counteroffer? Also what insurance companies are best for Prius owners? I would appreciate any help I can get in making this purchase.
take a gander at the diane threads. she is a leasing specialist and gets high ratings for value and trust. you can compare rates or if you're in her area, all the better!
dealers love to speak in terms of monthly payments. You should negotiate the deal the same as a purchase. they need to show you what they are going to lease or sell the car for, what the residual value will be at the end of the lease, and what kind of interest rate you are getting.
It shows you're from Calif. Call Dianne Dianne Whitmire Fleet Sales Director Manhattan Beach Toyota Sunny Southern CA 310 939 7801 office 949 689 0717 cel 707 202 3618 eFax [email protected]
Hi PriusFan, Not sure if you already own a GEN I or GEN II but after multiple postings on the other thread. "negative" sorry... by Justaguy, I would suggest that you test drive the vehicle and make sure you're happy, because apparently there are some unhappy PRIUS owners. They were not happy with the way the car handles (not like an AUDI - straight from the OP's thread) and the car feels cheap... So test drive the vehicle first is the BEST advice that I can give you, and back on topic, your pricing on the lease sounds like a deal but as others have pointed out, you should contact Diane... Good Luck and I'm serious about test driving the car first, you would hate to have BUYER's remorse after 16K miles...
I did contact Diane. I am waiting for a reply. I did test drive the prius and it was better than the civic hybrid ride. I want to make sure I get the best deal possible. Toyota dealers are very aggressive and want me to buy. They even want me to trade in my accord. I am hoping to sell my car first before leasing the prius.
