A Montanan laments the passing of the Gas-Guzzler in his state. There's a cut-and-paste picure of author (?) Kim Kirn, riding a saddle mounted on a silver Prius. Time, October 10, 2005, Essay, page 72.
I was just back in Helena where I got my car and my son lives. He is in his last semester (Woohoo) and it has been our tradition to go fishing during his "fall brake". When I got my car just over a year ago there were a few Prii around the College ( Carroll College) but not a lot. The DOE had a few but I did not see them. On this last visit there were Prii everywhere. I must have seen 5 or 6 a day. Pretty good for a small town, I felt at home just like Olympia... you do not have to go far to see a Prius. Montana has embraced the Prius.
