Hi all. I live in the city and have been loving how zippy my new III is compared to the older Escape I was driving before. Also, parking it is a breeze, even in the tight spots around my neighborhood. The other night I was thrilled to find a spot open near my house as it was quite late - it happened to be right in front of another Black III. I came outside early the next morning and the other III was gone but left a nice dent in my bumper that is the perfect impression of the license plate screws. Obviously I have no proof and I don't know this person but I have made a habit of walking around the car every time I get in it so I am sure that it happened overnight. I realize there's not much recourse so I'm asking if anyone has any ideas for pulling this out. I read in the history that some of the bumpers on older models were softer in the sun...does this still hold true for the newer ones? Otherwise I'll just wait as in three years I'm sure there will be more to contend with. Still, there's a bit of that new baby injury devastation. Did I mention this is a lease? Deep breath.
If it's just two weeks go talk to the dealer to see maybe they would be willing to help pull the dent out for free. Good luck!
