I was driving through downtown L.A. heading to work early yesterday (Sunday) morning and at a stop light I noticed that there were 2 other Prii in front of me, one to my left, and two more (including a classic) behand me. When the light changed we all went our separate ways - no one seemed to be with any one other of the pack - and it made me wonder... What do you call it when a group of our cars are together? Is it a pride of Prii, or a herd of hybrids (of course I've heard of hybrids  )? Anyone have any suggestions?
This comes up with regularity, and was just batted around on a Yahoo-Prius thread. I like "passel". But if you're into alliteration even more, "pride" works. Hmm. A passel of Passats.
There's a pretty extensive list of these terms here. One reasonably appropriate term from that list is a battery (of hens). The worst possible choice is probably a crash (of rhinos).
