Preferred MFD: Gen 1 or Gen 2...

Those familiar with both, which do you prefer?

  4. 4. neither, but still would like MPG indicated, e.g., lower on dash as in HCH

    I've had both, and prefer the smaller, recessed, less obtrusive Gen 1 MFD. I kinds like the climate and sound controls accessible through the MFD, though.
