I bought a Prius III + Nav about 3 weeks ago. Now, my husband wants to buy a used 2010 with nav and leather seats. We are in the southeast, Does anyone out there know of any for sale or where to find one? If I should post this somewhere else please let me know, I am a newbie. I did a search but could find anything for people looking to buy. Thanks!!
Try a Google search for "used 2010 prius" there are some listed. You can also go to Edmunds (and some other sites as well) and search for certified or used Prius. Be careful looked to me like most of them cost almost as much as new, another new one might be a better choice. Despite Toyota's problems earlier this year I think the Prius will hold it's value rather well.
Beware of Craigslist, in my area it appears that many of the 2010 cars for sale come with a salvage title. The others are mostly dealers. I agree that new 2010 might be best, especially with incentives and 2011 imminent release.
This could be true of any "used" car. Yes Craigslist does have used salvage Prius automobiles, but there are also "typical" used cars on Craigslist. As with anything else - know what you are buying before you buy it. Keith
As with any used car, be sure to carfax it of course. i find it unlikely a 2010 prius could be salvaged with its value still pretty high. It would have to incur A LOT of damage which you'll probably notice upon visual inspection.
OP: read this thread: http://priuschat.com/forums/gen-iii-2010-prius-main-forum/83114-buy-now-regret-later.html. Then this one:http://priuschat.com/forums/gen-iii-2010-prius-main-forum/61492-2010-prices-paid-details.html USAA is a restricted membership bank that offers a car buying service. They think a 2010 Prius 3 can be bought for under 21k in the Atlanta GA area as of today. I suggest reading the first thread for dealer leads, and then call and ask if the USAA price will be honored. I would not bother to mention if you are a member or not.
Alternatively, you can search out local dealer inventories. You might want to inquire about dealer loaner cars, the ones that they loan out to customers when said customer is having maintenance done on their car.
autotrader.com or ebay I know that there was a Prius V for sale on ebay, but forgot the exact location of the vehicle.
Well, actually, there is a Prius V loaded with ATP in your state for sale on ebay: Toyota : Prius: eBay Motors (item 320569940125 end time Aug-08-10 20:05:43 PDT) here is another one, but far from you...a Prius IV with NAVI: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Toyo...temQQitemZ170521185698QQptZUSQ5fCarsQ5fTrucks Good luck! Personally, i would go for the V ATP above.

Hey where is Jim Sikes now. I thought he wanted out of his prius. As a matter of fact, where are all the whiners crying they hate the car. Here you go, your chance to unload now. Too bad I already have 3 cars.
The Dealership offering that deal (actually $3000 below Invoice) is Team Toyota in Lithia Springs GA, an AutoNation Dealership. If you go through AutoNation you can probably get the same deal without being a USAA Member. And, that is a good price because I purchased from them this weekend! They're not too far from Alabama, just off Highway 20 and Highway 278...
I have two good cars, and no good reason for a third ... I have two good cars, and no good reason for a third ... I have two good cars, and no good reason for a third ... I have two good cars, and no good reason for a third ... I have two good cars, and no good reason for a third ... .... .... .... .... I find repeating this over and over helps whenever Paul posts.
Sorry, maybe I should stop... But, it's such an incredible deal that I realy want anyone in the market to know they can get an exceptional deal on a new Prius!
I had to research this a while back when I totaled my 2010 (haggling with insurance). For a base pkg II, you may very well see a similar proice to what yo9u can find as a deal on a new one +/- $800... Also, as has been stated - don't go salvage - there are a lot of em out there. Whatever happens, you can always add factory leather for around $1000 installed...
