Problems with paint chipping away

    Maybe the newer ones... the '00 Outback and '03 Forrester I had I never complained. :)

    I had the same chipping problem with a Mazda MPV and the Nissan Murano...I think the new paints are brittle hence the invention of the clear bra...but also consider that people who follow too closely also get more chips and since I started backing off I have had fewer incidents. I believe following too closely at high speeds is the quickest route to chips...that and bad karma.
