Has anyone successfully installed an OEM nav unit into a Gen II Prius that previously did not have nav? Would this be a relatively straightforward plug-n-play swap?
i'm curious about this too. my steering wheel control has a 'map' button. when pressed, the mfd screen reads 'external unit not connected'... or something like that. it leads me to believe perhaps factory nav is just an add-on plug n' play? we have the factory nav in our lexus suv & wife loves it. she would much rather prefer having a built-in nav then the garmin we are currently using in the prius. can't wait to hear if anyone had tried adding on a factory nav.
