This is my first post, so I'm a new poster also. Questions abound: Anything to watch-out for from dealers? Can I get just the one I want? Any buyer pitfalls?
Re: Questions from a newbe buyer a] Of course you can get the one you want. If you tell them you want a Prius II but they insist on a prius IV, that's pretty shady and i'd suggest you'd leave. b] you will have the STRONGEST buying power if you feign interest and fake leaving, or leaving altogether but calling back later. Dont take the first price they give you. Check truecar.com for what a good price prius you want for your area should cost. Good luck! Toyota is giving out 2 Free year maintenance as well so look out for that.
Re: Questions from a newbe buyer :welcome:. Read through www.carbuyingtips.com and if you are a AAA member you can build a car & get up to 3 dealer quotes at www.aaa.com. You can't order a car but you can tell the dealers what you want & don't want. Not all regions import all possible combinations so you may have to go some distance to get exactly what you want. Prices have been soft for the past 6 months or so but time is starting to turn against you as the model year is coming to a close. Best wishes for finding exactly what you want.
Re: Questions from a newbe buyer See Consumer Reports for car buying advice. Save money and a lot of bother by doing it all by phone, fax and email.
Re: Questions from a newbe buyer Looks Like I have landed in the right spot, looking at picking up my '09 with 12K on the clock in about a week. just drove a co-workers to lunch and that solidified the deal. What a neat car, you see it from the outside and say hey that's kinda small but inside... Kinda like a cartoon where they look inside step back and say WOW that a lot of room..Looking forward to making it 'MY' car ASAP.
