I set out all my stuff I needed to take to the music festival in Michigan. (left half of Before pic.) Hubby said "It will never fit! And where is your friend going to put her things?" She arrived and set out her gear (right half of Before pic.).... We decided we needed a picture of all of it before we started packing. (I KNEW it would fit! (See After pic.) I told her she should have brought that fiddle! We had PLENTY of space. And my rear view was not blocked either!)
2009 Prius with 17 foot ladder, 4 18 gallon tubs of electronics, 3 laundry bags of ethernet cables, 1000 foot box of cable, 4 shoulder bags of printer cables, Doctor bag of tools, and room for two passengers.
I wish I'd taken pictures of some of the stuff I've got into mine! You wouldn't believe me if I told you - in fact I've surprised myself a few times.
Now that's my kind of cargo. Though there's a distinct lack of powered, active electronics. ;-) A couple of my friends took a road trip halfway across the country (straight, so like 30 hours or so), complete with a desktop computer (and CRT!) and a laser printer. You know, just in case they had to print something, I guess.
A lot is all I can say. How about a walker, a couple of storage containers and multiple bags for a college student going back to school. Add in her mother and her and that is what you can fit in the back of a Prius. I think I am going to tackle the closets this weekend and try to remember to take a picture before load and then after we load it up.
