Hello! I recently bought the LED kit from ebay (2004-2009 TOYOTA PRIUS WHITE LED INTERIOR BULB KIT HOT!) and upon installing I ran into a few problems. My sockets in the front dome area have vanished into the panels because i forgot to lock the socket before installing the LED bulbs And so...does anyone know how I can get those sockets out?
Not sure i'm following you here...the dome has 3 bulbs, all of them being 194/168 wedge bulbs correct? At least that's what they are on my '07.
I had a total of three sockets for the three bulbs...but two got lost inside the holes. If you need a picture reference...go to Flickr and search "prius map light" its the first one
Oh wow, that's strange. Mine are wedge bulbs. Now I see why you lost it. Looks like the removal of that piece is a must to get those bulbs back. Here's the image for others to see:
Well I got them out! Just had unscrew two screws from the sunglasses compartment and pull the whole unit. Pulling it out was similar to doing the mod for the license plate bulbs. I'll post a mini-guide as soon as I can get at least 5 posts...
Ya I'm hoping to have my LEDs purchased by next week. It's been a mix and match process as I am buying them from various retailers (ex. iJDMToy, some eBays, etc...)
