Which floor and cargo mats combination would you get?

I would have ordered the Weathertech all the way around because they look easier to clean than the OEM Toyota RFM's. I surf all the time and get lots of sand/gravel on the floor. The deep grooves make it harder to clean.

 

We have WeatherTech DigitalFit "mats" for our TCH. They are perfect for up north where we deal with sloppy weather, snow & ice every winter. I'd probably never have anything else in my cars.

I didn't realize they were already available for the 2010 Prius, that's great IMO.

 

I have the Weathertech's in a few other cars and they've always held up well.

 

I've always liked the OEM's all weather mats as they remain soft and flexible, have deep grooves to catch water and slush (as well as sand). In addition they are "personalized" with your car name.

 

I guess I'd choose the DigitalFit mats because they aren't black and would look nicer with my bisque interior. So far, though, I'm pefectly happy with my carpeted mats. Maybe I'll change them out come winter.

 

I did not order carpet mats with the car, after seeing the input here on PC re quality. The port did not have AW mats when prepping my car. So I rode around mat-nude for 2 weeks.

Until my order from Prius Chat came in. The All Weather OEM mats are great. Excellent quality and very substantial. Haven't needed to even remove yet to clean, but certainly will hold up better than the black carpet mats.

Don't need the cargo mat. If I do carry something dirty, I have a thin blanket in the storage compartment to spread out.

 

I like the weathertech DigitalFit mats. Mainly that's because I like their edges. It seems like they would catch more dirt/sand than the regular all weather. The cargo liner looks to be easier to clean and also has the edges - especially important for food or drink related spills.

I have not used them but I have used the Toyota all weather mats and cargo liner in my Highlander. My biggest complaint, you guessed it, the edges. I've had a spill in the center of the cargo liner but the liquid sloshed over to the edge and got the carpet all sticky.

Just like the cargo mat, the floor mats are a similar story except this time its with dirt and sand. The OEM mats themselves hold up great to wear and tear but the dirt just accumulates on the edges and gaps between the mat and the side of the vehicle.

I would be interested to know the digitilfit mats stand up to wear and tear. Anyone have a set and care to comment?

 

I've heard that spilling story before. The Weathertech's look like they would do a better job at keep liquids in. Also, they look a lot easier to clean. I'll be getting OEM rubber floor mats because the Weathertech's aren't an option at our dealership yet. I will get the Weathertech cargo mat.

1. Can anyone comment on the amount of vinyl odor from either the OEM or WeatherTech products?

2. I remember seeing a product somewhere that would cover the entire cargo area, even with the back seats down. I assume it was hooked to the headrests, but couldn't tell. With the seats up, there was a large roll of excess in the cargo area, which I suppose is unavoidable. Anyone seen anything like this with out this problem?

 

I would get the WeatherTech floor and cargo liners. They have a lip up the sides that wraps around it the liner to keep stuff inside.

 

The Weathertech digital fit liner has been in my Honda CR-V for about 18 months and is still in great shape. This is what I will be getting for the Prius. I have been very happy with the several various types of products that I have purchased from Weathertech.

And I have never noticed any type of odor from their mats and liners.

 

i have the OEM all weather purchased from PC Shop. i am happy with them but i admit the digital fit weathertech's look very nice.

 

I received my Weathertech digital fit floorliners and cargo mat today. I have a bisque interior, so i ordered "Tan" Big disappointment! "Tan" mats pictured on their website turned out to be a hideous muddy brown. Not even close to the matching light tan/creme that is pictured on their website.
The cargo liner on the website matched the light gray cargo perfectly, not so in person.
I will probably keep the cargo liner, but the floor liners are going back.
When i called for the return authorization, the rep indicated that almost all the "tan" mats are returned...

I've attached pictures of what these liners look like, what do you think?

Anybody have pictures of the bisque interior with the black floorliners?

 

There is no such thing as good mats for the 2010 Prius.

The Toyota OEM mats are not good. They do not have side walls. All the snow, water and mud rolls off the mat directly on to the carpet. They are also made of a material that wears out fast like the picture above. I had mine for two months and they had a hole starting were your foot goes.

The Weather Tech mats are really bad also. They do not have fins. If you get snow on them it melts and swishes from side to side. Your feet sit in the freezing cold water in the winter.

The Weather Tech mats also have low side walls on the driver side. A small amount of water will leak all over your carpet. Here are some pics







To keep the snow and water from getting on the carpet I stick an ice scrapper under the mat. Weather Tech did zero research when they designed this mat. I sent them an email. They do not care. I wish someone would come out with a good mat.

 

For me, i got the Weathertech floor rubber mats and the OEM cargo mat. Love both.

 

The grey liner does exactly match the cargo area on their website.

Businesses that operate so dishonestly should be banned from PriusChat. Weathertech should apply actual color representation of their products, and excuses about color varying from PC to PC display are unfounded because there is a little thing called LCD and the grey looks the same on my Dell as it does on my SONY!

 

BEWARE OF WEATHERTECH! I returned my awful "beige" colored digifit mats a few weeks ago by Canada Post. I paid $1.50 extra for a signature when it was received at Weathertech.
A full 2 weeks has gone by since they have received my mats at their warehouse according to Canada post and the signature, but ZERO money has been credited back to my VISA.

I called Weathertech today to inquire why there was no refund showing on my Visa, they said that "my mats had not been received into their warehouse" I explained that the tracking number from Canada Post shows that it had arrived, they still said "NO, it's not here". I further explained that it had been signed for by their receiving department and gave him the name of who signed for it... he said they would look for the mats again.
Well, within 4 minutes, they had called me back and had had MAGICALLY found my returned floormats in their warehouse and would be crediting my VISA. It feels like they were just going to say that the mats never arrived, no credit...what are you going to do about it?

I find these business practices very underhanded. This could have been a mistake...but i will think twice before dealing with them again.

I guess the lesson is to cover yourself with a "signature on delivery" to give yourself some back up when they say the package is not received.

 

went with OEM all weather cargo mat, and then another 3rd party mat for all seats besides the drivers seat. With all the misc crap regarding mats and effecting the break/gas pedals we didn't want to put anything there.

Very little noticeable smell on either of the mats we got.
