Hi- I have a 2009 Prius still with v. low mileage and not quite a year old. The odd thing is there are little pieces of white flakey type things accumulating on the dashboard. I can't figure out what they are or where they are coming from. Finally, one was larger than the rest and it appears to be a shread of perhaps plastic. Has anyone seen this before? Or, have an idea of what I should do about it? Thnx!
I have a similar situation with mine. I figured why it happened when I realized it was from little pieces coming off my windshield sun shade and not from the car. hope it just as simple for you.
If you can't find another source we have to suspect some kinda junk stuck inside the ducts. As an easy place to start, check the cabin air filter. Make sure that you put it back in the right way (possibly a previous owner put it in upside down).
