Hello everyone, I'm finally in the market for my first Prius! I haven't been able to find anything near by budget until today. It's a 2007 Prius with 36,000 miles with Package 6. Asking $15,000 private party. It has some paint chips on the rear and front fender (says the owner). I'm in Southern California and scheduled to take a look at it tomorrow. I'd appreciate any initial input. Thanks!
That seems pretty reasonable, you might want to ask the seller what type of driving he/she has done. The factory tires probably aren't too far off from being replaced, at least that was the experience on my 2004. You might want to take a look at the Michelin Energy Saver A/S, they recently received a good review from Consumer Reports, has low rolling resistance like the stock Goodyears. Regardless, good luck!
Sounds competitive. Two weeks ago I paid $14,950 for a 2008 Touring, package 6 in very nice condition. It had 42k miles. This was in Chicagoland. I felt like it was a great deal. It was the last day of the month from a dealer.
Good luck with your purchase -- sounds like a fair deal assuming everything checks out. Hope it works out for you! Did you find the car on AutoTrader, Craigslist, Cars.com, or some other listing?
08 purchased 6 weeks ago, package 4 with additional heated leather seats for $16000. It had 27K at the time of purchase and I too thought it a great deal based on lots of searching via VEHIX.com. I would agree ckeck tire condition and if OEM. The Goodyear Integrities are the topic of many a thread here ....consensus not a good tire. Seems like a pretty solid deal though as these cars cars are very much the same, so a low mileage Prius if cared for well has a lot of life left in it and the package indicates all the amenities.....soooo Good Luck.
thank you all for the input! i'll be sure to pay extra attention to the tires quayton i found the listing on craigslist. not sure if it's listed elsewhere, though.
