How Fast will it go????

    Whats the fastest anyone has had there prius....Just came back from vacation ...had it up to 92 mp...wouldn't advise this very often...sounded like it was wound all the way out...Just curious though...2200 miles and got 43 miles per gallon....beats my Grand Prix I use to have..

    About 109 mph for the Gen II, give or take a few. The computer cuts the power if you try to go faster.

    The next question to ask yourself, is how fast its going to go from top speed to 0 when a "tree pulls out in front of you"...

    That one is easy to answer: Max to zero in about a quarter of an inch.

    I got mine up to 188 km/h (117 mph) on the autobahns in Germany. Such fun. We just did two max speed runs and it didn't hurt the avg consumption at all on that tank! You cover a lot of ground at that speed. Enjoyed the chance to do that, and the best part, it was perfectly legal.
