My key remote has been slightly flaky since day 2, but now it's stopped responding 80% of the time or more. I found instructions for the battery replacement in Gen II, but nothing about Gen 1, and I can't quite get the thing apart. Don't want to try harder until I know how it's supposed to work. I have a 2032 battery replacement. Anyone know? Thanks.
There's a slot at the base of the fob. Insert a small coin or large screwdriver blade and gently twist. The two fob halves should separate, revealing the battery.
Great, thanks a lot! For the record, the battery is different than the Gen II-- It's a 2016, which is slightly harder to find, but it seems to be better.
