I took my 08 Prius in for an oil change and left with a 10 model. Talk about an impulse buy! Not sure I like the 10 as there are features I had previously that I no longer have. Of course there are new features that I didn't have before. I'm having buyers remorse, but I need to move forward because there's nothing else I can do about it.
KY doesn't allow you to take it back in the first three days? Even so the dealer would probably be happy to swap them for a nominal administrative fee of, oh, $1000 or so :_>
Talk about an expensive oil change! The 2010 has features the 2008 doesn't, so maybe you'll come to appreciate those and not feel so bad.
I knew there was a good reason I change my own oil. As posted above check the laws in your state, maybe you can return it no cost to you. A phone call to the state attorney general's office or a local lawyer might be a good idea. If not see what the dealer would charge you to undo the deal.
Well look on the bright side and enjoy the features you didn't have rather than remorsing about the features you wished you had. =)
true, but what about, roomier, more powerful, quieter and better mpg's? i would trade my 3 door sks and console slash storage cubbies for all that!
 Seconded! I drove both a Gen II and Gen III before deciding that the features on the III were worth all the additional $ to buy new. The better handling, better mpg, and bluetooth were three of my favorite reasons for choosing my '10.
Stunned by your decision process(?). I usually take 3 years to decide on the next car I will buy. But I buy a new car about every 10 years, not as often as I change TV channels. The Gen III Prius was coming, so I could evaluate alternatives in the meantime. Once available, after having driven a Gen II and Gen III, I knew it was the right car.
