Remote beeping while washing the car

I have a short post in that thread & wish to say to hschuck, I never locked my car before wash'g. It just kept constantly lock'g & unlock'g (not just the beep, but also the clunk'g of the lock mechanisms moving). Yes, I did have the fob in my pocket, but the lock/unlock would happen while wash'g a front fender or just stand'g totally still & spray'g rinse water anywhere on the side of the car (but NOT on the little black buttons).

As many others have said before, the best solution is to either leave the fob in the house out of range or to simply turn off the Smart Key System with the little switch below & to the left of the steer'g column. You don't need to fret whether the car is locked or unlocked before you start then.

Thank You I was wondering how to disable the sks on 2010 but leaving key in vehicle easier
when i was washing it it was beeping every time i shot water on handle - pain in nice person - more sensitive than my 2007, 2009
and no idea why they got rid of disable button
i'll survive lol

 

keeping key inside a 2010 does not work / then i get the long BEEEEEEEEP telling me i am trying to lock door with key inside car , dam i miss the disable sks button on 2010...
i'l l have to play some more with it . Since i live in apt complex and car wash area is far from apt not sure how to keep key fob far away
