The price is very good, I would have much rather payed that for mine... but mine was certified. That's my only question about it. I'd have someone do a PPI or at least check the carfax beforehand.
I think it is an okay price. But that is their asking price. I would offer them less and see what happens. Glenn
I started by looking at the asking prices for a 2007 Corolla 5 door (Matrix) on the Dallas Craigslist. That's the thought process I would go through if a first time buyer of a used hybrid. I would start by comparing comparable hybrid to non-hybrid models. You can get a loaded 2007 Matrix with about the same mileage for about $9500. Probably gets 28 mpg (from personal experience.) You then have to go through the same thought process we all go through when deciding to pay extra for hybrid technology.
Fair price, I think----but: You need to obtain a complete history, such as: previous owner(s), maintenance/accident/repair records, salvage title?? warranty?
Looks good if the car has a clear title, complete service history and no significant accidents. Look for the VIN label on the doors, hatch, rear quarter panels (look at the rear door opening) and hood. If you can find the label on all of those parts then any accident damage would have been relatively minor. Good luck. BTW the 2007 model will not have a cassette player, at least not factory-installed.
