Thought I'd share some pics for those interested in high-quality lightweight forged wheel. Briefly, these Ray's 10-spoke 17's in Formula Silver are noticeably lighter than the OEM 15s. I wrapped them in non-LRR tires (Sumitomo's 215/45/17) because the shop didn't have any in stock and I can't wait to get these wheels on.[IMG]

Looks great! I am thinking of the ce28 or the re30 but after seeing yours, maybe the super eco's are the way to go. If you don't mind me asking, where did you get them and how much were they?

Thanks guys, Dman...with regards to your inquiry, I'll disclose that it set me back > $1600. Contact Elton at Raceline in Rosemead for your Volk Racing inquiries, I didn't get these from him but I think he should be able to work something out for you. If he asks, tell him Rick w/ the M3 referred u. You will also need to get hub rings (I still need to get some) and a set of aftermarket lug nuts.

Not bad. You should look into lowering your car too. That wheel gap is too much for my tastes.

Agreed. This is the real reason I've decided NOT to upgrade to a nice set of 17". I don't want to lower my scoot.

    Great looking wheels! :)

Thanks guys! As much as I'd like to lower it I don't think I'm gonna do so...afterall, its only a PRIUS. =) A larger diameter wheel would look better on this car if lowered since 17" is still a factory size. Cheers!

It looks like the overall outside diameter remains about the same, right? (I'm too lazy to do the math) as the tire / arch gap doesn't look much larger (a little more?) than the stock setup.

I'm wondering if it throws off the computer...

Diameter with stock 15s is 25.0 in. With the 215/45 17s, the diameter decreases to 24.6 in... which translates to the new set-up running slower than the actual speed by 1.4% (speedometer reading 60 mph, but you are actually traveling 59.1 mph).

Those rims appears to give the car a BMW-ish look.

db626--- Thanks for your post! Now I'm considering the 17" option after viewing your wonderful pictures. I have a silver painted/colored 2010 prius, just like yours. One question:

Why did you go with Formula Silver and not Spark Silver?

From my limited research, it seems that Spark Silver matches the paint job closer than Formula. Any insight would be much appreciated (barring Honda Insights, of course).

Cosx...I had no fixed preference with regards to the color. The retailer I got it from only had it in FS so I was fine w/ that. I don't mind the darker contrast with FS...now that its on, I wouldn't go back. I'm sure either color would be awesome though! Good luck!

Wow, very nice wheels. I'll have to check the Volks retailers in Tokyo to see what they're charging for her in yen.

It looks like I can get a set at at least one retailer, for 126000 yen for 4.

    That's about $1400 USD at today's rate.
