    Greetings friends,

I have read several of the threads that refer to different dashboard lights but have been unable to locate one that sounds like the light I have on currently. Feel free to refer me to the appropriate thread. I don't know what its called so my searches have been handicapped.

This light came on last night. I looked it up in the manual, its there, but it doesn’t say what it means. I've tried to describe it to the dealer but he had no idea what I was talking about and told me to stop driving it and bring it in Saturday.

My prius has 14300 miles on it; I got it last oct or nov. It’s a 2008.

Anyone know what this is? I’m worried about going into the dealership with no knowledge and trusting everything they say considering the phone call I had today.

    Thanks for your time.

I have a 2004 which does not have this light. Is this light warning you that your tire inflation pressure is low?

My first call to the dealer said thats what it is, I checked the tire pressure, all is good, and upon further inspection the (!) light is a different light.

    Thanks for your reply!!!

This light indicates that at least 1 of your tires has lost 25% of its pressure. Check & inflate all tires to desired pressure then reset the sensor by pressing the button on the borrom left of the dash. Keep an eye on the tires. If there is a slow leak you'll find it soon enough.

Thank you for your anwser. I checked my tires and they are all between 32 and 36 PSI. The (!) light is actually a sepparate light on my dashboard.
Here is a picture of all of the lights as they come on when I turn the car on. I hope you are right! I just want to make sure.

Thank you so much for your time.

EDITED TO ADD: You are both very correct. I appologize, what I was interpreting as the low pressure light is actually the break light. Thank you so much for your help, I appologize if I cause any frusteration.

It is definitely your tire pressure warning light. It is one of the first things our salesman pointed out when we picked up our 07. :)

    Engine? Check!
    "Low Tire Pressure"
"Blowing bubbles while driving is dangerous!"
    "Someone keyed your car"
    "You locked your keys inside"

As usual, I'm always glad to help. :)

It's definitely the tire pressure warning. As someone else posted, check all your tires and once you're happy with their pressure, use the reset procedure that's in the manual (don't remember the procedure off the top of my head). This indicator doesn't necessarily mean that your pressure is set wrong, it just means that there's a 20 or 25% (again, don't remember the exact number) difference between at least one tire and the others.

If all the tires are set right and you go through the reset procedure then one of your tire sensors could be baroque.

I'm trying to locate info on the "someone keyed your car" light as it is currently blinking in my car after being turned off. I've never noticed it before. Do you know what it means?

The blinking key light means that the keyfob is NOT in the slot.

Yep, that's all it means. You might look it up in the manual...
