Tinting with metal - does it affect anything?

    I am going to get my side and rear windows tinted, but I wanted to make sure that the metal "chips" inside the tint wouldn't affect GPS, bluetooth, or general cellphone reception. Is that correct?

    My local tint dealer uses sunguard or 3M.

    So is the GPS signal coming from the back glass or the front? I thought it was the front glass.

    In the Prius, I believe the antenna is in the front. However, satellites behind you need to come in through the other glass, so the less in their way, the better...

    I got DIAMOND tint. No problems what so ever.

    Llumar Platinum Plus - no problems - almost two years - GPS and Bluetooth.
