I just did the software update to 1.0.3 from the palm site and my phone is still dropping calls in the car when call waiting comes in. what's the solution to this? do i have to change a setting on the phone or something? This is starting to become very irritating. any advice would be greatly appreciated. thanks!
I'm waiting on the delivery of a new '05 prius, am a verizon customer and am considering the Treo 650. I'm wondering what your experience has been. I've asked a half dozen people about compatibility and gotten as many answers. It sounds like you had to do some software upgrades, is that correct? Will the bluetooth connect? Any feedback would be appreciated.
It ends up my car synced with the treo real easily. The problem i'm having is the call waiting hanging up. I was told the software update would stop that and it hasn't. i was hoping for a solution to this problem.
That's reassuring to hear, as I'm definitely looking forward to using the phone hands free. Just to confirm: Are you using Verizon wireless, with their treo 650 and do you live in the U.S.? Of course all i need now is the car. Soon come (I hope).
Also- I saw a post somewhere suggesting dailing *70 ( I think that's the correct code) to disable call waiting when making outgoing calls to avoid the problem of being disconnected.
I just downloaded the new Palm Treo 650 car kit and installed the phone. Upgrading the Palm took 20 minutes, getting the Prius to recognize the phone and allow my first call took 2 minutes. Thanks for all the advice!
THere is a new V 1.04 update for the Verizon Treo 650 that is supposed to help with dropped calls with call waiting. Not sure if it helps with the Prius, as I don't have mine yet. Go to palmone.com for the update.
