So I was pulling up to my driveway late at night and my phone rings, I look down to silence the pos and look back up and I'm on a crash course for the corner of a cement wall. It took out pretty much the right side of my car. Yeah, I usually kinda pull into my driveway bat out of hell style, so the right headlight/bumper/mirror is ravished, and the passenger front door is all dinged up, and the passenger rear door is totally kaput. It was nigh impossible to open, and then it was all out of alignment (obviously duh its a mangled mess) and I had to slam it a couple of times before it shut.

Lucky for me I'm practically still a little tyke so I don't have comprehensive or collision insurance... It's an 06 Prius, basic package or whatever, but I have the coveted car pool stickers.. Bought it for $13k, I'm betting these repairs are going to cost around $9k out of pocket eh? At that point...should I just start looking at other cars?

    Thanksss

We can't really answer this question for you... Take your car to a few body shops and get estimates and then decide if it is worth it to you to keep it. Posting some pictures would give us a better idea of what needs to be replaced. Alternatively, if you have any mechanical skill and want to take a cheaper route to hold on to the car... it isn't hard to replace the doors, front quarter panel, mirror and bumper with parts from a junkyard car. If the replacement parts are a different color you can have them resprayed at a paint shop while off the car for not too much. Going this route you might be able to get by with the repairs for under $2k pretty easily.

It sounds to me like it's all cosmetic. You can replace all the damaged parts for no more than $1000 or so and then you could have it sprayed for $1500 or so.

Cell phones and moving cars do not mix.
