We just bought a 2008 black Touring edition Prius and could not be happier! It is super clean, with 34k miles (was a lease.) Very impressed with the mpg I am getting to work (over 50mpg.) We decided to go with a used, rather than buy a new vehicle... the ultimate recycling. I haven't even begun to figure out all it can do, and have not had the time to input things on the navigation, the bluetooth, and all of the other info. Very excited! Yippie!
Set aside an hour or so just to read the manual and try out all the systems. Also there are many recources here on PriusChat, such as John1701's user's guide and Hobbit's hacks, if you are into that.
It took me a full week of several hours each day to read the owners manual and navigation Manual for my 2010. I also gained information from Priuschat on the lock sensor, disabling the reverse beep, using Power mode without fuel penalty and other minor issues.
