Hi Guys, I have 2006 prius (i dont know which package) i noticed that the Theft Deterrent System is not working, the security light blinks, i followed procedures to test but i didn't work, i locked the car with windows opened, waited 2 minutes or more and then opened the door from inside, nothing happened, it seems that the system is inactive, can i activate it without handheld tool? i found some post but its from 2006 :S any help guys...
Unless the OP does not have the option of the Alarm... As I also mentioned in my thread about this: The '08 owners manual talks about a “Theft deterrent system – Immobilizer system” (p. 81) and a “Theft deterrent system – Alarm (p. 84). And the latter is marked as “if equipped”.
