Hello Prius owners! I wanted to introduce myself, as I just joined today. I've been looking into purchasing a TCUV Prius for the past couple of weeks and this forum has come up on my google searches time after time. So far, this seems to be THE place for info and already this is a place with a wealth of information for me. It looks like I'll be joining the green revolution tomorrow! Last night I checked out an '08 Prius and I'll be picking it up tomorrow from my local dealer. I know I'll have a ton of questions (like what do the 5 buttons on the rear view mirror do) and I hope to get a lot of great info out of everyone here! For now, I'm just excited to get into my new-to-me Prius in less than 24-hours and to rock the MPG's.
It's always a pleasure to welcome another intelligent person to our world. I'm certain you will never regret the choice of owning a Prius. Yes, we are blessed here with extremely knowledgeable folks who would most likely have an answer to any question you might ask. I would recommend doing an initial search throughout the PC forum to get a feeling for what information is already well documented. :welcome: Gary

Thanks so much for the welcome guys! I guess I was too assuming in my Toyota knowledge, TCUV = Toyota Certified Used Vehicle. MacMaster, good to know you're the master! My forum name is based on my love for Mac's and my other car, a Delorean, which is stainless steel. Anyhow, I took ownership of my Prius yesterday and I'm already learning what it can do, it's odd technical limitations, annoyances with my iPhone and the immense distraction that is the MFD. In other words: I love it!! I already have some iPhone / iPod questions so I'm gonna post it in the appropriate place. Thank you all again!
I think one is to eject a distracting/talkative passenger. But I've never tried it myself... Welcome aboard!
So is your other car really a Delorean? Because I'm pretty sure from watching all the "Back To The Future" movies that if you park a Delorean next to a Prius you risk ripping a hole in the fabric of time and space.

Yup. My 'fun' car is an '81 DMC with 39k on it. I've had it for 5 years. My friends got me a hoverboard earlier this year but I haven't picked up a Flux yet. In due time. Anyhow, as the saying goes 'pix or it didn't happen', I attached one here. This is a silly landmark on Long Island I visited back in March.
