It looks even better than I had hoped. Major thanks to the guys at MCOR Automotive in Lutz, FL. They did a great job. Along with installing the leather, they installed an auto-dimming mirror with homelink I'd picked up to replace the stock that came with my III. These are the same folks who did my tint and will also be installing my fog lights when they come in. The gray leather matches perfectly and the silvery/light gray inserts really look great. Matt and the crew are great to work with and if you're ever in the Tampa area and need some work done, there's nothing they can't do.
Thanks very much. I found the pattern on Katzkin's website and the silvery/gray inserts and perforations really give it a great look. As nice as it looks (I took the photos about 30 minutes after the install was completed), in a few weeks after they breathe and settle, the leather will be taught and smooth!
Thanks very much. It was $999 plus tax (including installation). Best part was that unlike port install, door panels, arm rest, etc. are all covered!
Resurrecting this thread... By any chance hoping to figure out a few things. LOL Guy, what website did you order from? I haven't seen a pattern like this on any of the websites I've visited. Looks great though!
how much was it, to get the homelink mirror and install. Also did you go through with the fog lights? I saw that you got a head deck installed. Did MCOR do it for you also? BTW where in LOL are you? im by the pkwy on 54.
i got mine katakin leather installed for $1700 at the dealer.. was i riped off? their site says it is 1900 or so.. i thought i was getting a good deal...
You did assuming the dealer installed the basic no option Katzkin. You can buy the basic Katzkin for $700 to $750 any day of the week. Installation should be about $400 +/- 100 depending on where you live, the phase of the moon, etc. So yeah, you probably paid about about $800 more than you should have unless there were several optional upgrades to the Katzkin.
