Hello, I am in process of getting 2010 prius II. Dealer has sent me info with plain 2010 prius II-No accessory. I am interested in BlueTooth and Electrochromatic mirror. As an accesory option in 'Build Own Toyota' price is $249 and $299 respectively. *Has anyone got dealer to install proper Bluetooth/Mirror on Prius II? *Were Bluetooth buttons on steering wheel or separate on Dash? *Does dealer also offer similar price? Appreciate any feedback.
I had the dealer install Bluetooth in my Prius II. It took 2hrs and looks very good. The Transmitted sound is much better than using the mike on the phone
Controls on the dash. Just got mine, and I was told they would be on the Steering wheel, but of course as reality sets in, they are not. They are still learning, or if I am clinical, they really know, but keep it vague.
I'm picking up my Prius II this week. Do you have any picture of the bluetooth install? Also does it have its own speaker or feed through the stereo? If it goes through the stereo, does it support music too?
Could I inquire as to how much your dealer charged for installing bluetooth on your Prius II. My dealer told me the price would be $399.95 (no discounts). I would also be interested in whether you considered the aftermarket options (e.g., Parrot Blue Logic, etc.). Thanks for any info.
No pics but the controls are in the blank about 3 inches below the power switch. It uses the speakers for the output (it beeps once about 10 seconds after power up to let you know it synced) and cuts out the stereo when in use. The Mike (which is very clear) is just foward of the dome light control.
Thanks for the info JRitt. Picked up my Prius tonight and opted out of the bluetooth when I found out the price tag ($399). Now to decide on an aftermarket model like the Parrot or something.
Please let me know what you find. I've got a 2010 Prius II and want to install bluetooth. I'm debating between the: (1) dealer; (2) Blue Logic; (3) Parrot; or (4) other aftermarket connector. I've heard from one Prius II owner who stated he was going to install Blue Logic, but I've yet to hear from anyone on their experience going aftermarket. Thanks,
I'm holding out for an aftermarket headunit with bluetooth and gps. Waiting on dash kits to become available.
You won't have to wait long. Car Toys here in the PNW has them already and they've already retrofitted a couple 2010 Priuses with BT/NAV/RADIO combos. Rep from Car Toys states replacing the gen 3 radio head unit is far more user-friendly because it isn't as integrated with climate and other dash electronics this time around. Sit tight. I'll try to post info as soon as it's available.
That's great news. I went to a local installer that offered to do a custom install for $400. I'd much rather do it myself and have some extra money for other fun stuff for my car.
The Bluetooth on my level II 2010 Prius cost $299. It cost a lot, but I love talking on my cell phone hands free.
Wow...I'm getting a quote for >$400 installed at my dealer north of San Antonio for the BluLogic. Thats crazy!
