Tweeters are directional, it looks like they are pointing slightly to the front of the car. You will lose some sound. Before I did my install I placed the tweeters in many locations (including the location you have chosen) and found where I placed mine to give the best results.
What are those 'tweets anchored to? They seem to be just floating there. Note to self: Pay somebody to remove door panels and install speakers and sound proofing. I don't mind the rear camera install, the Bluetooth mic, the GPS antenna, but that door project is over my limit.
I think that it sounds ok. I was thinking giving 3 more db to tweeter. But it is too much high sound. My ear greps tweeter sound from front door and back door together, I guess.
It's a thin piece of metal with holes that you can bend. I bought mine at Home Depot in the plumbing section. On the left side of the tweeter you can see the door frame that has a rubber seal. Pull off the rubber seal and take off plastic around little window then I drilled a small hole into the frame and attached the metal strip. I first got some black rubber a heated it around the metal strip to hide it. If you look at it close you can figure it out. I placed the tweeter in many locations and this gives you the most direct sound and it's not too far from the 6.5 woofers in the doors.
You should turn up the front gain more than the rear. The back are to help full out the sound but you should get most from the front.
The crossover came with speaker has +3 0 -3 db switch for tweeter. I will test +3db later. Thank you.
In theory, those back tweeters are too high up combined to the back bass/mid put low in the door. The distance to your ear from the left will hit you before the lower mid bass and right right speakers. I would attenuate (-3) those tweets, set the fronts to be flat between the woofer and tweeter sound (could be any of the settings depending on what you here), and set the fader to give you a good sound stage (more sound from the front, but could be with the other settings it is faded forward or back a little). Theory often goes out the window in these systems though with all the car reflections. Good luck, it sounds like you like the sound already, so the experiment can either make it better, or you can revert to your old settings.
I did that exact same setup in my 2010 Prius II for the rear doors. For the front I put the tweeters on the windshield part of the A-pilar as far as I can get them. I am planning on going active crossovers soon so I can tune and have proper time alignment. But on the rear door tweeters I set the passive crossover to -3 db and turn the fader to the front. I will eventually set the gain from the active crossover controls. That is a very clean install though. Nice work. I will see about putting pictures up for my front tweeters.
