Hey I'm getting all kinds of alerts from my Avira Anti-Virus software on priuschat today, anyone else? Was PC invaded or did Avira screwup the virus database? Here's what I'm getting . . . http://www.avira.com/en/threats/section/fulldetails/id_vir/5145/game_moorhuhn.html
Since I use Ubuntu with Firefox running NoScript for general browsing, I have not seen any such alerts or activity
LOL! Cheater. I am now using FireFox on my Window's box and have not been alerted since. Hopefully, nothing but a false alarm.
From what that's saying, it's triggering on flash based games - designed for the corporate environment to keep you working - no actual virus is detected by that particular alert. My guess is it picked up something in an add playing on the site and thought it was a game.
when i google prius chat and click on the forums link i am sent to "adult" or "dating" sites. i have to come in through the home page then go to the forums.
That kind of behavior is indicative of having some kind of adware/spyware installed. You'd best do a full system scan for viruses and using a tool like spybot.
The site was apparently infected by a security hole over the weekend which was causing people who would google PriusChat to be redirected to a 3rd party website. I believe I have fixed the problem now. Let me know if you have any other problems with it.
No problems here. Mac OS X 5.8, Firefox, Adblock Plus, Flashblock, NoScript, WOT (Web of Trust). If Adblock, NoScript and WOT were available for Safari, I would go through the pain to use it. Cannot use Chrome, not available for PowerPC Macs. Really lusting after new hardware.
