Do you mean "work" by suit my needs or do you mean work as in would it plug into the power socket and work? The reason I ask is because I have not took the cover off to see if that bulb would indeed plug into the existing socket it looks like the two bulbs have different types of connectors so I fear the bulb you suggested may not work. If it does plug onto the socket and work, then I'll order it. Is there anyway you can confirm this would work in the car? Thanks for your input!!

I meant the latter. IIRC, there is clearance but then again, in something that small, every millimeter counts. (e.g. the HP5s barely fit into the door courtesy lights but have no problems in the licence plate or the map lights. They're all 194/168 bulbs).

Best way is to get the measurement off superbrightleds (they usually have it listed) then measure the dome light cavity.

Hey Guys! Thanks again to the guys how posted light bulb part numbers and locations! I cannot thank you enough.

I do have one question though. The dome light is only in blue now. Has anyone else tried any new part number for it in white?

I feel your pain. I'm in the same position. I went ahead and ordered the blue bulb.. Maybe it will look kinda cool. If not I'll just put the old bulb back in.

Not in the Gen 3. Kinda annoying that they're tied in together.

I'll post some pictures up once they come in and they are installed to let you know how they look. Maybe that will help you decide.

    Try these guys:
    Festoon auto led lights
I've ordered from them before, and their bulbs are high quality. Just make sure the size of the bulb fits. I do remember ordering what I thought were 31mm festoons only to find out they were on the slightly longer side.

Hey HI MPG, thanks so much for your link. I went down and measured the length of the stock bulb and it came out to be around 1 1/4 inch. The bulb that I chose from that website is the:
    --
    "32445
    Festoon Ultra Bright 6 LED 1 1/4 Inches / 31mm
    Color : White
    Size : 31mm or 1 1/4 Inches"
    --
Here is a picture of the bulb measured:
EDIT: NEVERMIND!!! The website wont let me chose the USPS Priority shipping option. It's only letting me chose UPS and they want 13.94 to ship a L.E.D. light. Pathetic.

For some reason when I selected to buy that bulb it let me choose Priority. It came out to be 10 dollars for shipping. Ahh oh well, I also went ahead and bought one of these bulbs. Hope they come out right!

The 3022-xW4 will work. That's what I used. (I think I used the cool white color, so the part number is 3022-CW4.) This bulb will also work in the light in the cargo area, on the side of the car. It's a bit of a tight fit (at least in the cargo area, but no real problem. I have noticed the bulb easily rotates, and since the LEDs are only on one side, that will affect your brightness. When installing and putting the light back together, be sure the LEDs are facing towards the cabin and be careful not to spin the bulb as you put the unit back together.

On another note, I also replace the bulbs in the side marker and parking lights. Well, actually, I only replaced the left marker light, since that was the only one I could easily reach. I had the dealer replace the others. The marker lights look good. The parking lights I don't think I needed to replace because they are behind a colored lens and you can't really tell they are LEDs. I looked at my lights next to the normal lights in my wife's Prius and couldn't see much difference. Dealer only charged me $55 for a half hour of work since he was able to fit his hand in to change the bulbs and didn't have to disassemble anything.

I also got a comment on the LED marker lights today. Was loading my car in the grocery store parking lot and the guy doing the same in his car parked next to mine, said he noticed my LED lights. Considering it was daytime and the lights weren't on, he must have been really looking. Said he wife has a Prius and she drives it "scientifically" and gets about 65 MPG :)

I ordered the 32445 and could not get it to fit in the rear dome or rear cargo. I got it to fit in the cargo but anytime I used the switch it popped out. I could not get it to fit at all in the dome.

I measured the stock rear dome light with calipers and it was about 30.5mm. I should've measured the cargo one too.

Anyone have a good recommendation for a white LED for the cargo area, preferrably 5500k?

See the post right above yours (#134). That gives the part number of the one I used. It comes in different three different temps of white, if I recall.

I'm glad.... those amber lights bugged me as well, especially with changing all the interior lights to white LEDs.
