I have a Samsung SGH-A437 cell that I am trying to use with my no navigation 2010 lll. I can pair the phone with the auto...no phonebook capabilities but after I shut the car down and come back, I seem to lose the link up and I have to do a fresh setup again. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
I had a Casio work phone that did the same thing. The problem ended up being the phone. I had to get a different work phone that was compatible with the Nav bluetooth. If you have not already, you can go to www.toyotaletstalk.com website and enter your car, your service provider and your phone. The site will list your phone, if it has been tested, and give you a table of the capabilities of your phone with the Nav. If your phone is not listed, it has not been tested.
I am using a Samsung SCH-U350, and a difference from my older Motorola with the same car is a setting on the Samsung, something to the effect, "connect automatically?" as part of the phone setup during pairing. It connects fine repeatedly on my P IV non-NAV. Does yours have that setting on the CAR_M MEDIA interface?
You might give delete and then repairing a try and see if you get the "connect automatically" choice on the phone.
