So I have an address book and my wife has an address book, er, uh...contacts, but called address book on the prius. So we can pair up to 6 phones...so can the phone that is paired either sync or manually create an address book? So if you switch the paired phone, the other phones address book comes up? Help! Thanks!
Each paired phone has its own address book. Yes, when you switch phones you also switch address books. The last phone selected remains connected until manually changed to another phone. My wife, my son and I all have paired phones. The phone normally stays connected to my phone since I am the principal driver. If either of the others drives, they have to manually switch the connection to their phone and thus to their address books and all other settings such as Speed Dials, etc.
As it was explained and as I see, the last phone paired is the dominate phone if all are in the car at the same time. If any individual phone is in the car, it is recognized and connected automatically. Thanks for the explanation on the address books! The downside is that they are iphones...so I guess we will be manually building the address books...bummer. But thanks for letting me know since building manually and then having to redo would have been a real bummer.
