    Congrats Paulie.

I see that the price of the katzkins alone is $645. How much are they charging to install?

Not bad at all indeed. The shop in Lindenhurst (Sun Line Sunroofs) that installed my sunroof had offered to install katzkins on my car for the same good price you're paying (around $1000 installed).

    Looking forward to pics!

I'm sure they will be great - not to rain on your parade - and they will be very good. I believe autointeriorslive still has the $2xx discount for the upgraded interior (leather). You can also choose your color.

Also, they are always the same or less ($650 delivered) - with whatever colors you choose...

I've found in general, they are far cheaper than everyone (including Ebay specials). Also, the Ebay stuff does not give a choice of color - which may be significant.

Bottom line, I thing Auto is cheaper always (don't know why), and get s the best discounts. I think they have the best customer service too (just cause I have ordered from them - and it was easy)...

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE TAKE PHOTOS. I may be interested in installing it in my Prius as well. I have some swatches from Katzkin and they seem like decent quality. I don't live too far from the installer so I'd like to see how it turns out.

My 2007 Black Prius has a Katzkin 'Bone' color interior, look at about page 10 or 11 in the Photo Album section and you can see it. Great choice. I did it back then because I hated the colors inflicted on us by Toyota. The new Bisque is why the 2010 hasn't had the Katzkin fix. I think you will find that it performs well, and they do a great job.:)

I had these Katzkin leather seats installed last week and they turned out great. I also put in seat heaters for those cold mornings..........

I attached some pictures of the new interior. The switches for the heaters are on the side of the center console, a much better place than the factory installed ones. The heaters are generic and can be trimmed for any seat shape. I got them from SeatComfort, look for Carbon Fiber Seat Heater Kits on e-bay.

Katzkin has a match for all the Prius interior colors. Mine was called Beach which is a match for Toyota Bisque. Contact Katzkin and they will give you names of installers they work with in your area. The Katzkin seller I used was SAR, look for Katzkin Leather Interior Kits on e-bay.

Total cost was $645 for the seats, $120 for both heaters, $450 for installation.

+1 on the leather. It looks much better than the sheepskin in my opinion.

Still, it doesn't look like it is worth $300 more than the Clazzion ones.

VERY VERY NICE!!! Looks like factory and I like where they placed the heater switches. I assume the passenger switch is on the opposite side. Are there dual settings for the heaters or is it merely ON/OFF??

Keep in mind - the Classio is just a seat cover. Katzkins remove the cloth interior, and are fastened just like stock leather. In addition, they have the door panel leathers - all of which make for a real factory look...

Also, style wise, I always thought the Clazzios looked like something that would go on a Buick (not that there's anything wrong with that ... but it doesn't look Prius factory).

    ?? Separated at birth? ??

My Gen II which started with dark charcoal cloth seats were quickly covered by bone Katzkins because I hated the fabric seat pattern. And I thoroughly enjoyed the Katzkins.

It doesn't end there. I traded it in during the Toyota promotions and now have a Gen III 2010 ... with Bisque interior. Same reaction. No need to go Katzkin with it.

The dealer I traded my Gen II in to has it on their used car lot -- didn't wholesale it because it's so distinctive ... the right someone is going to see the interior and it'll be sold.
