I am using Firefox 3.6.3. A few minutes ago I was here on Prius Chat, with several tabs open to different threads, when suddenly, and without apparent input from me, all text in the open window turned to little empty rectangular letter-size boxes. I looked at the other tabs, and they were all the same. Images were okay, but the text was gone. A refresh made no difference.

I quit and re-launched the program, and now all is well.

Just thought I'd put that out, so if it happens to anyone else you'll know you're not the only one.

    Stupid Firefox...
My website displays perfect on IE, but the drop downs don't work on Firefox. I can fix it so it does, but then it makes it look goofy on IE.

    grrrrr....
Most our clients are MS shops, so Firefox isn't nearly as important.

I've had issues with Firefox on PCs (but not Macs) since an update (don't remember the number) last winter. Lost my auto pager add-on. Freezing. Noticeably slower to boot up than IE. Noticeably slower than before in all functions.

Sounds almost like a display driver issue, but if everything else works...

My only issue with Firefox, which I use at home, is that links often do not work.

They just don't. I click, nothing happens.

In IE, they work. Go figure.

I'll stick with FF for most things, though.

I also find differences between Firefox on Windows and Firefox on Linux. Some sites will work with the Windows version but not the Linux version. So much for the idea of web browsers being compatible.

Might be AdBlock, sometimes it has the HAL persona take over ("I can't let you do that, Dave").

Firefox has its quirks. It likes to hoard cpu cycles. Yesterday, it was up to 90%, according to Task Manager -- when I could get TM to finally start. Nothing's perfect.

I tried heavy drinking a couple of times way back when, and it made me feel worse, not better. Any other suggestions? :D

Oh, and as a pretence for keeping this on topic, Safari seems to work just fine.
