Well I have a Gen II, but I am 22. I have been thinking about buying one for a couple years, and finally did in February. Everyone else that drives Prii around here are of the hip replacement age. Sort of funny how being a young male, I am now labelled as homosexual for my car choice! Still love it, and will stay in the Toyota/Lexus hyrbid/EV model ranges for a long long time.
Either you don't expect to live very long, or you have a poor opinion of the ability of car companies to build something better in the future. I'm 61. I'll be 62 in a couple of months. But I feel like 45. I'm in better shape now than I was when I was 30. When I was 30 I could not run a quarter of a mile. Now I run 3 miles on a good day. But I'm not in as good a shape as I was when I was 45 and could run 6 miles and felt like I was 30, though I felt a lot worse when I actually was 30.
I am still waiting on my nuclear powered personal flying car bubble a-la-Jetsons that they promised us would happen by the 21st century... Anyways, the Prius is spawning its own series, so I am sure Toyota will evolve the Prius line as usual. Prius may be the best choice for many decades to come yet, and then it will be whatever toyota decides to name its flying car!
Oof, I think I understood that actually, but it aged my brain in the process. I'm 21. For the second time. We've had polls on this in the past, but that was before the 2010 model. Polls make the data a little easier to digest.
A grandfather that is experienced enough to outdrive any other Prius driver anywhere, anytime...smile
