Does the 2010 Prius share the same chassis with another Toyota vehicle?

I seem to recall (although not certain) reading it's a stretched Corolla chassis.

Yep the Prius shares the same platform as the European Toyota Avensis [ame=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toyota_Avensis]Toyota Avensis - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia[/ame] . That's where the similarity ends though.

The Avensis is a mid sized car for the European market and is smaller than the Camry, yet bigger than the Corolla.

Thanks for the replies. We bought our 2010 in Dec. 2009, upgrading from our 2002 Prius. We were told the 2002 Prius was using the Echo's chassis. Knowing the 2010 model is larger, I was curious if it shared its chassis.
    Good information.

    Thanks again,
