Is it possible to add an iPod dock to a 2010 package III with jbl and satellite? Some dealers say yes and others say no.
The answer is yes, but you loose the satellite (unless you have a new '10 w/ a new updated jbl that has both built-in.) If you want to buy mine @ $ 90, let me know, dealer cost about $ 200.
Thanks for the info. I do have a new 2010 with the JBL. Do you have the receipt for purchase? And was it ever installed in your car? My dealer won't install one without the paperwork and new condition. Thanks, Henry
If you are referring to the Toyota iPod Kit, the answer is no. I had it installed when I bought my car and it never worked. The dealer finally confirmed that the Toyota iPod kit is not compatible with the JBL (non nav) radio of the Prius, with its integrated satellite radio receiver. I had it removed and have been reimbursed. See this thread. If you are referring to third party solutions like DICE, I don't know.
Thanks for the info. Just saved me a ton of headaches. The 5 Toyota dealers couldn't give me an answer, but I got it here!
I had the kit installed on a Nav. JBL, and yes, it worked fine. I opted for Sat. radio when I could get it for $ 77/yr. The I-pod worked fine, turned on and off when called for, and displayed songs/ artists, etc. Still interested? I have paperwork.

Just bought one of these (TOYPDSDR - SoundGate.com) for my Pkg III w/JBL and no nav. I can control the iPod via the radio or the iPod directly. I would highly recommend.
