I was patting myself on the back last week after having won an eBay auction for a hitch mount Hollywood bike rack last week for $144. To my amazement, I noticed at lunch today that Target has what appears to be the exact same rack under the Coleman name for $99 + change. YEESH! Anyhow, I know there are some bike enthusiasts here and I wanted to share my information with you all. Where can I get the hitch part of the rack and is it something I can install myself. I am very interested in some kind of bike rack for my car.

I'm looking for something I can use for my girlfriend's wheelchair. I believe the clamps would have to be far enough apart to get to the frame extending beyond the seat.
She has a manual, and a Quickie P-200 electric. The electric I discovered weighs 88 pounds sans 2 31AH gelcell batteries, which is a lot lighter than I thought. I was considering a bike rack for the manual, but if I can get the electric to be carried safely at a reasonable price, that might be good for outings to Universal, as I often have to help push otherwise.
Just an FYI. The bike rack company I dealt with on eBay sent me the wrong rack so I now have an "out" on the deal. Went to Target and in fact the rack is not $99 but $90. Good luck everyone!
I like that Sport Rider. I read it works with either 1-1/4" or 2" Hitches. CoasteETech sells both 1-1/4 and 2 "" Hitches. So.. my question is which hitch? What are the pros and cons of one size over another? Thanks.
Dan as a thought have you contacted some places that install hitches and see if they have chair carriers. Most do. I just checked Cabelas and their carriers are too narrow for most chairs. Also her support network should have information on carriers.
