we're considering a renovation of our kitchen and would like to obtain cabinets that are manufactured under the forest steward label indicating sustainable harvesting practices. we'd also like the cabinets to be manufactured in such a way that doesn't use formaldehyde (hopefully i spelled this right). it sounds like some of you have eco friendly homes and i'm hoping you have experience in the area to lend a hand. i've conducted internet searches but it's not very helpful. i have a call into kraftmaid and they're supposed to call me back to advise of their practices. in the meanwhile, anyone here have experience or knowledge to lend?

I missed the whole story but there is a "green" home, including kitchen, on exhibit in DC. probably at one of the smithsonians. It was on CBS sunday morning show so if you search the website you might get more information.
Steward labeled cabinets are quite good, i have seen in my friend's kitchen this kind of cabinets.I am giving you that will definitely help you. ____________________ Kitchen Renovation Contractor
