Hello: My idiot son spilled white paint in the rear hatch of our 2005 Prius. The plastic/carpet trunk floor is ruined. I'm looking to get an OEM trunk mat to cover it up but the Prius shop here doersn't appear to have one for my car. It's a 2005 Prius 6 with bisque interior. The only bisque trunk mat they list is a dark bisque" for a 2006-2009. The mat they have for my 2005 is "ivory". Do I need the "dark bisque" or "ivory" mat for my bisque interior??? Thanks
Keith, The tan/beige color interior for the 2004-2005 Prius was called "Ivory". See this 2005 Prius eBrochure: http://www.toyotacertified.com/ebrochures/05_prius.pdf The tan/beige color interior for the 2006-2009 Prius was called "Bisque". See this 2006 Prius eBrochure: http://www.toyotacertified.com/ebrochures/06_prius.pdf As you have a 2005 with the Ivory interior, you should get the Ivory trunk mat.
Thanks Tom: I thought my memory might be playing tricks with me so I went back and looked at my original window sticker and sure enough, it said Tideland/Dk Brown/Ivory/Ecru! I'm guessing the ivory is the interior color. Don't know where I got "Bisque" from - maybe reading too many posts on PriusChat and figuring all those references to "Bisque" applied to my car, too!
Keith, I see an eBay seller in Pennsylvania selling a 2005 used Ivory carpet cargo mat for $26 shipped ($9 Buy It Now price plus $17 shipping): Toyota Prius Trunk Carpet Cargo Mat ' Tan ' 2004-08 : eBay Motors (item 230454738507 end time Apr-25-10 17:39:09 PDT) It has some stain spots which might be able to washed out. But it's $52 less than the $78 price of a new one from the PC Store. Good luck.
Thanks, yes I saw that one too. It's hard to tell what condition it's in from the silly little e-bay pictures, though. I'm actually having a go at mine with paint stripper (!) right now. It's not going to get rid of it all but it looks a whole lot better already. I should have taken "before" and "after" pics!
