This picture is only to illustrate the labels my Prius does NOT have, the 2 yellow ones on either side on the black plastic cover. This is actually a turbo-charged Prius. Anyway, should a "regular" Prius have the 2 yellow labels, and what info is on them? Mine just has the flat spaces where labels should go, this is something I've wondered about before, but never saw any other Priuses to compare. TIA Picture: notice yellow labels on plastic cover in front:
Geez, I looked at that picture and the yellow labels are NOT the first thing I noticed. My reaction was more like, "hey, I'm missing that cool-looking thing on the left. But to answer your question without going out and popping my hood in the parking lot, I will provide an unbiased photograph showing the yellow stickers firmly in place.
Thanks Tony, Looks like somebody somewhere forgot to put those labels in my Prius. I suppose I could mention it when I take it back to where I bought it for its 5K service.
Sid, the labels are warnings about the high voltage of the headlamps. There's also one on the lamp itself, which you can sort of see in the second picture.[/font:93dc5486a5]
I just thought, I have HID headlights. Do you? No need for High Voltage warnings on halogen lamps.[/font:a3f3060b66]
OK, I think I got it. I remember you posting that your car does not have HID headlights. The labels must be present only on cars that do.
Well, that mystery's solved! Thanks all. I'm glad my Prius is not missing something it should have, even if it's only a label.
Ok, so we have covered that the lables are about the HID lamps. However what about the custom air filter. Can you tell us about that?
I suppose I should read it a bit more carefully. It is rather difficult to read his post with the inline graphic becasue I have to scroll side to side to see all the text.
