When you are driving & you see another Prius, what do you do?

This is the kind of behavior that makes people make fun of Prius owners TBH.

 

The poll on Facebook decided that would should give each other the "peace sign." Hopefully I won't look too much like Tricky Dick Nixon.

 

Hi All...I am a new Colorado owner and enjoy reading the posts. Why not have a sign that you might hold up at your window...stating your best mpg...? Not to have it posted permanently...just whenever you'd like and instead of waving...hold up the sign. I would love to see that and although my car is almost 3 mo. old now... avg. 50-52 mpg daily I challenge myself each day. Could be fun!

Always nice to see another Prius on the road, except when where's an Obama sticker on the back....

Which reminds me, I need to get a Meg Whitman 2010 for Governor sticker (ex. ebay ceo). Sometimes, it's tough being a green Republican!

 

I wave whenever I can. In So. California, that's a lot of waving. It might look like I'm flapping my wings to improve fuel economy.:yo:

 

Where I live, its extremely rare to see another Prius on the road. In a week and a half of owning one I have only seen 2 parked, one on the highway, and one in a driveway. I always recognize it too late to do anything other than think 'I'm pretty sure that was a Prius'

 

This is what I do:

- If I pull up next to someone at a stoplight, I might glance over or conspicuously catch them in the corner of my eye, so they know I'm looking. It either creeps them out or makes them feel like we're part of a "club."

- If a Prius passes me on the freeway, I might turn my head to the side to look at them. This could mean "nice Prius" or "why the **** are you passing me"

If I see a Prius in the parking lot that's modified or whatnot, and the owner happens to be at the car too, I'll walk over and be like "hey I like your Prius, where did you get your windows tinted?"

 

Are you impling that we're a club of creeps?

 

I at least try to smile. Amazing how many people I see driving Prii that aren't smiling.

Hey, you own a Toyota Prius... Smile, dammit!

 

I pass them because I'm always late!

 

I stare at them as hard and as long as possible, tends to scare them, but it's so much fun!
