Lets just start out by saying around where i live hybrids are few and far between, it was a fight between me and the wife on what car to get, she wanted a CRV, i wanted a Prius. Once she got a close look her mind was made up alot of which had to do with the amazing amount of room in the backseat/front of the car and of course the MPG. But to be honest i think she was most excited about being able to not have to dig around for keys or stick anything in a ignition. I hate to say but i didnt do any research about the cars other then first hand experience talking to a few owners, picked up a 2009 with a little under 10k miles. It was a Certified Pre-Owned, and with the additional warrenty/platinum wrap 7 year 100k mile warrent with quite a few add ons still under my price range. After checking/researching this site i definatly know i have a lot to learn and want to know a little bit more about the package option on my car, got excited once i registered took a few bad pics out in the dark to get some opinions/comments about the features on mine etc. The car does not have the navigation but does have the map button on the steering wheel. I see the backup camera. That means you also have VSC and front+rear side airbags. You probably have the bluetooth since the buttons are on the steering wheel. That also mean you have the auto dimming mirror with homelink.
Woo! Sweet! If you didn't get a 2009 Owner's Manual with the car, buy one from a dealer or online. It's full of stuff you need to know. And, if you did not get Toyota's (not the dealers!) Scheduled Maintenance Guide, see below for the official list of service items needed to keep the warranty in effect. Anything else is just gravy for the dealer. Toyota Parts and Service
You hit all the nails on the head, yes it does have bluetooth, does not have fog lights. I did buy the Toyota maintenance package for the 5 years, figured the additional cost of the platinum wrap etc could come in very handy. i have a owners manual have spent quite a bit of time reading it, there is only a couple other Prius's around where i live.
"Toyota maintenance package"? You mean, the dealer's pre-paid maintenance plan? Cancel it immediately if you still can; that's a dealer ripoff, an even worse deal than an extended warranty. It's paying too much for something, and in advance.
Ill contact the dealer in the morning to verify, yes it was the one where toyota sends you a coupon etc to get oil changes done from any dealer.
congrats on the purchase. sounds like you got a pkg 3. definitely cancel that prepaid maintenance package and get your money back.
