FWIW, I'm not in favor of a separate forum for this topic. I think that it would lend more legitimacy to the topic than it warrants in reality. It also would make it easier for those searching for validation to find all the the threads in one place, further fueling the misplaced hysteria.
The suggestion of news-related or time-topical sub forums has come up in the past. The reason they don't exist is that eventually the threads will become obsolete but the forum will exist in the list. We take the creation and management of the forums very seriously because we want to ensure that Priuschat is always current. We only create a new forum when we know that it will serve a purpose to a large number of users five years from now. I won't deny that the errant lurker might come looking for recall information in 2015 when they are considering buying a used 2010. But that's not enough - in my opinion - to warrant a new sub forum.
I think it was someones nightmare actually, you know dreams are hard to remember or reconstruct sometimes. Sometimes people even think they were real!
A pen for the banned? That way they can continue their rants but we can otherwise leave them to their own devices. . . . Naw, not a good idea. Bob Wilson
