Hi there. In the next few days, I plan to purchase a 2010 Prius III with Solar Package. I have contacted 4 different Toyota dealers for quotes, and I have the "bottom line" pricing from Consumer Reports. I checked Order Tracking in this forum, but it did not have any pricing information listed. What is a reasonable bottom line price for this Prius to start my negotiations with the dealerships? Plus, are there extended warranties available for the 2010 Prius from Toyota? I could not locate any information, so I assume they do not exist from Toyota. Thanks. :mod: P.S. I am currently a proud owner of a 2002 Prius with over 140k miles. It runs fine, but it is currently being used by a relative living with us due to the hard economic times. The 2-car swapping for 3 working people is getting impossible to maintain, and we do not have any mass transit available nearby. So it is time for a 3rd car...
I just bought two 2010 Prius IVs with the solar package. Not the same model as yours (and I thought the solar package was only available on the IV?), but perhaps you can just take the price difference between the III and IV models and adjust accordingly... I got the solar package, an accessory package (floor mats, cargo mat, cargo net, first aid kit), an illuminated door sills (needed some bling) for $30,800 I think. I went through USAA's car buying service and got a discount there. They do have extended warranties available. I think the one I was offered was good for 100,000 miles for $2,600 (USAA price). I declined it, at which point they said if I was a Costco member, they could give me another 15% or 20% off I think. I still declined. On another note - I'm a new Prius owner.. What's the proper plural of Prius?
