Ok I have a question about the side panels/center console material its seems when i get out of the car i scuff it a little or if my sister gets in and her nails scratch the material inside the car it looks scuffed...most of it i can wipe...but others i can't i have this really wierd scratch mark...have no clue where it came from its above my driver side handle...as soon as i take a picture i will post but i find it kind of odd..seems to get worse but i'm not even touching it..
The plastic on the Gen III is made of recycled materials. I don't know if that has anything to do with its relative sensitivity. Ironically, the texture on the surfaces seems to "show" more scuffs than the smoother surfaces on my Camry. Perhaps it is because there is greater friction due to the texture when something rubs the surface? One certain downside to the texture is scuffs are harder to clean.
There actually aren't many interior parts made from recycled materials, and that's not one of them. I posted a doc a while back that showed which part were made from recycled materials.
