Okay, pick up my car over the weekend, not ever one week old. CD won't play anymore. Is there a reset code or something to get it going? Won't play music cd or mp3.

Tried new music cd, still nothing. Contacted the service dept. They told me come for a new one. Since they don't stock the radio, it's going to take about a week.

Just a pain, having to go for service when the car isn't even a week old. Thanks for your input guys.

Got a replacement put in today. Works fine like it did for 3 days after I bought the car. Apparently it's Panasonic made. And like I feared they scuffed up my dash some during the process. So agitated right now. But I have a working cd/mp3.

If they scuffed your dashboard, they used a wrong replacement technique and didn't follow the service guide instructions. It is a reason for the free of charge replacement by workshop. Don't let them to sweep you out. Many of us went through the dashboard decomposition and without noticeable damage of any dash parts.

I've had my CD/AUX problems too; on one occasion, the dealer replaced the AUX cable between the Console & Dash. Worked for a while then very recently again a problem. I've seen many posts talking about a complete replacement, however I really don't think this is reasonable or necessary.

I just recently returned from a trip, and after a long flight listening to a new audio book, I wanted to finish it on the way home. BUT the Prius had other ideas, maybe she was angry for my leaving her unattended for a while? Either way, frustration set in and I had to wait until I had the time to "Completely disconnect the Battery" and "leave it sit a while, un-plugged". This reset the system, and again, my CD / Aux is working fine until the next time... Maybe Toyota needs to install a 'Ctrl-Alt-Del' and / or a 'Master Reset' button?
